Super davis - Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 11:31 PM PST Chicken John, the former Mayor (candidate) of Art and Innovation, here in San Francisco just put out this bulletin to his community. I am opening it up to mine. Please donate. Here is Chicken John's message: OK so I know that everyone is broke and people are downright terrified and the economy and the unemployment (10%? Holy Jimmy Carter, Batman!!!) and the rents are sky high and it's raining and we are out of coffee... I know. And our partisan government is so confused and ineffective it's like watching 14 year olds on a first date ordering food at a restaurant and noticing the boy is trying add up how much $ he's got and how much he's spent and he just spilled his water and his friends are texting him images of donkey porn and he doesn't have a car or a chance.... I know. And everyone has a cause and the seals and the climate and the owls and the little children and the Iraq and the drugs and the gangs and unfair and the union and the harassment and Gavin's hair and the storefronts.... I know. I know. Listen. I need you lock arms with me for a minute. Take a stroll. I have some bad news. Our friend Hollis was involved in a motorcycle accident. She might could use some help. She is in India. She has a brain injury. She´s on a respirator. A respirator is a violent affront to the human body. To say it´s un-natural is an understatement. Horrible. Horrible is a good word. It´s like a compressor, in an auto garage. The tube is big, like a garden hose. Taped to your face with white medical tape. Forcing air into your lungs. Mechanical contraption would be another good description. Infernal device. This machine keeps the blood in Hollis´ body oxygenated. It´s dealing with breathing while Hollis figgers out how to do that again. She got smacked pretty hard and forgot for a minute. There is a place that can teach her how to do this again. We would like to introduce Hollis to this place. And for this, we can use some help. Where are the finest doctors? I ask you good people of San Francisco, the City of Art and Innovation? Why right here of course. Where would you want to live if you were the best doctor in the world. You would be at Stanford Medical Center. Of course you would be. The best of all things. Best and brightest. All here. It´s us, actually. We are the best and the brightest. If you argue with me, then you´ve just been here too long. You really need to get out more. Hollis needs to board at Stanford Medical Center. She has been cleared to travel, and it is reasonable and prudent for her to traverse the 10,000 mile trek safely. How, you may ask, does one travel whilst hooked up to a respirator? In an ambulance. With 2 doctors. A few nurses. A guy in a gorilla suit, I dunno. But there´d better be at least one guy in a fucking bell-hop outfit for $200 LARGE. Yup. Two Hundred Thousand Dollars. You want to charter a medical air ambulance you better sell your Google stock. I can´t begin to solve the injustice in the world. In my city. On my block. I can´t solve the injustice that occurs in my kitchen, for chrissakes. But a random stranger contacted me about the junk boats the other day, and out of the blue donated $100 to my paypal account to support the project. She is a lady that lives on a boat, and is into things that are ecologically sustainable. It always feels like a freak accident when a random stranger finds out what you doing and wants to help just because you´ve inspired them. It´s the world I wanna live in, so I´m goona donate the $100 she gave me AND I´m gonna add my $100 to it and give $200 towards the $200,000 ambulance ride for Hollis. I just wanna keep it going. Think of it as an philanthropic stimulus package. Hollis was involved in a freak accident. She fell off a rented scooter going 5 miles an hour and got the handlebar stuck in her helmet. I don´t even understand it. But when clowns have accidents of course they are "freak " accidents. Hollis needs to come home, to get the attention she needs. Always the attention whore, that one. She needs to get on that plane. She needs help. Where are we at? Today, 4 or 5 days after the accident, already $20K has been raised. We got 10%. It can be done. It´s not going to be easy. And there are no angels anymore. All that Microsoft money and the start-up money and the VC money is gone. There is only actual money. But we are many, and Hollis is just one. We can take her. I for one want to be one of the people who helped Hollis and be part of the awesome community that came together when one of us was fucked. Fucked. I mean, she can´t breathe. She needs help. The amount you donate is unimportant. Ya got what ya got. ANY donation, even one dollar, is important. Her mom, her boyfriend, her sisters, her roommates, her co-workers at Last Gasp, the people in her dance troupe, DPW, Vaude de Vivre… on and on… your donation is fuel that powers the beacon of our community. So what if your donation is small? God doesn´t care if you sing off key, she only cares how LOUD YOU SING!!!!! Every donation not only brings the goal closer, but also invigorates the family. So far there have been 400 unique donations. 5 days, guys. Whoa. That´s kinda crazy. Donating is easy. Paypal: elizastrack@gmail.com I´m donating $200. But I´m an over-achiever. I also plan on making Hollis work the door at some events in the future to pay me back, but that´s another story. But since I´m an over-achiever, I´m gonna commit to 4 times my $ in a match. I´m gonna commit to raising $800 more by begging my friends and family IN ADDITION to putting it out on this list here. I´m gonna send an email to my 20 closest and mostest and beg for $40. I´m gonna tell them that for $40 they can be a member of the coolest club on Earth. This new group of stellar awesomeites called: Friends of Hollis. I´m proud to be a member. http://friendsofhollis.blogspot.com/ http://friendsofhollis.blogspot.com/ Hank Paulson - Thursday, September 25th, 2008 7:23 AM PDT Dear American: I need to ask you to support an urgent secret business relationship with a transfer of funds of great magnitude. I am Ministry of the Treasury of the Republic of America. My country has had crisis that has caused the need for large transfer of funds of 800 billion dollars US. If you would assist me in this transfer, it would be most profitable to you. I am working with Mr. Phil Gram, lobbyist for UBS, who will be my replacement as Ministry of the Treasury in January. As a Senator, you may know him as the leader of the American banking deregulation movement in the 1990s. This transactin is 100% safe. This is a matter of great urgency. We need a blank check. We need the funds as quickly as possible. We cannot directly transfer these funds in the names of our close friends because we are constantly under surveillance. My family lawyer advised me that I should look for a reliable and trustworthy person who will act as a next of kin so the funds can be transferred. Please reply with all of your bank account, IRA and college fund account numbers and those of your children and grandchildren to wallstreetbailout@treasury.gov so that we may transfer your commission for this transaction. After I receive that information, I will respond with detailed information about safeguards that will be used to protect the funds. Yours Faithfully, Minister of Treasury Paulson J Neo Marvin - Monday, September 22nd, 2008 10:46 PM PDT In light of current events, it's time to ask ourselves this: WHY do we allow the US economy to be used as a casino for the elite? Does Wall St. serve a useful purpose at all? Or is it a parasitical entity that has sucked on our enterprise long enough? Maybe it's time to get rid of it. davis - Monday, May 26th, 2008 10:39 PM PDT IN MY OPINION | LEONARD PITTS JR. Poor whites are being conned Posted on Mon, May. 26, 2008 Digg del.icio.us AIM reprint print email BY LEONARD PITTS lpitts@MiamiHerald.com I keep thinking I should be mad at West Virginia. Not because Barack Obama was recently beaten like a red-headed stepchild -- to use my father's expression -- in that state's primary. No, I'm thinking I should be upset about why he was beaten. According to exit polls, two out of every 10 voters said race was a major factor in how they cast their ballots. Jon Stewart of The Daily Show ran a clip of a white woman who explained her refusal to vote for Obama thusly: ''I guess because he is another race. I'm sort of scared of the other race 'cause we have so much conflict with 'em.'' She spoke in the vaguely shamefaced, what're-you-gonna-do? voice of someone who knows she should stick to her diet or stop smoking, but just can't help herself. You'd think this would have me in a state of high dudgeon, fingers blazing the keyboard in righteous rebuke of attitudes so atavistic and wrong. But I can't. Oh, it's disappointing to see bigotry in Appalachia so vividly displayed. Yet I find it doesn't make me angry. It just makes me sad. I feel sorry for them. If that sounds patronizing, I apologize. That's not how it's meant. It's just that, if the headline here is that Obama was rejected by whites on the basis of race, I submit that's not the whole truth. Pollsters say he was actually rejected on the basis of race by whites who lack college degrees and whose household income is less than $50,000 a year. In other words, he was rejected by the poor and the less educated. Which is a description that fits many in Appalachia -- and also a vast swath of African America. So for me, the story here isn't simply the old, familiar tale of the nation's stark racial divide, but also another tale, just as old, less often remarked, of how the white poor and the black poor have long been kept at one another's throats as a means of keeping them from looking too closely or clearly at the ways both are maniuplated by the forces of money and power. And here, let me tell you what I am not saying. I'm not saying all bigots are poor or all the poor are bigots. I'm not saying everyone in Appalachia is poor, or less educated, or atavistic about race. But I am saying this: The white poor have been victims of a con job going back at least as far as the Civil War, when poor white men were used as cannon fodder for the right of rich white men -- I repeat: rich white men -- to keep slaves. They were told they fought for state's rights. From then till now, the white poor have often been the front line of white supremacy. You think people with college degrees and six-figure salaries are out there marching around under pointy white hoods, burning crosses? Hardly. My point is that race has often been used as a means of distracting and diverting the white poor. They had little in life, nor any realistic expectation of having more. But the one thing they did have -- or so the con went -- was whiteness itself. Which meant they had someone to be better than. Someone to look down upon. This, even though they did menial work under menial conditions, earned menial pay, sent their kids to menial schools, were subject to menial indignities, made do with menial health care and lived menial lives hemmed in by want, ignorance and hunger. Exactly like those they had been taught they were better than. Exactly like those they had been taught to look down upon. There are those in positions of political power who can and should be held to answer for the meanness and narrowness of poor people's lives. But they can't and won't so long as those who should be standing together to demand those answers are kept busy fighting one another over superficialities of color and culture. Those are differences that too often obscure commonalities -- of need, of hope and of cause. Over the years, many of us have figured that out. In West Virginia, at least, two in 10 of us have not. miss doomsday today - Monday, May 19th, 2008 9:30 PM PDT Enough with the disaster news! "Did you know, BlissFace, your government defense spending money has been for killing, or maiming, or diseasing, or terrorizing, or enslaving or dividing people instead of democratizing them? "That they have been doing these crimes since the 40's? Americans are so uneducated in the world now. So much information has been stripped from our schools and libraries that the kids think the elders are warped... and although their info isn't, their brains may be by now, with all the collateral damage of jobs being outsourced, kids being drugged and made mean and suicidal, food creating disease, disease causing death, war mongering, church gun running, slave trading, all by just a few rich and slimy 17th century modern primitives who have taken over. "Meanwhile, those who are really invested in life are tossed or toasted. Does anybody know what the situation is? We need to know our federal agencies are the macro for the micros out here at the local level. I need the federal, state, and local governments to confirm in all of our local news papers that it is a lie that Bush, Harper, and Calderon do have the authority to reinvent the three countries they are now president of as if our constitutions don't matter and their money and thuggery does. "If it is so, what about all this idealistic swoon for Obama and all we really stand for, like it is invalid, but what Bush and CO. says is not? Is the riot Rush Limbaugh is looking for to cause civil unrest, assert martial law, so Bush cancels elections, and people go ballistic, to cause the end of america as we know it? Bumfucks!! These are illegal and they will face charges if we are not foolish and stupid and forget who we are. We have already spent the bloodshed on this. Why do we have to go through that again, when the constitution requires regulations that forbid this conduct?" davis - Sunday, March 23rd, 2008 7:29 AM PDT Come visit my store on CafePress! debra - Friday, January 11th, 2008 10:10 PM PST ABC, NBC and Disney do not own the public airwaves ABC, NBC and Disney do not own the public airwaves, nor the political elections of the United States of America. In a Democracy the press is obligated to broadcast and print what is happening, not pass judgement and make decisions for the people. We are free to do that ourselves, or not at all. Also, we have a principle of fair competition, and to attempt to control lthe outcome of an election is nothing short of fascism. The American people must not stand for this kind of fraud ever. Ever since the media has been deregulated (dismantled along with many other regulations that protect the public interest) there has been nothing but mediocrity and violence peppering the main media outlets, and it is psychotic, if not criminal. We can not allow our only source of information to be controlled by those who have an agenda attached to an outcome and use the public airways to control the choices of the people. Candidates spend a lot of money on their campaigns and they deserve to be respected. Voters spend a lot of money on funding their candidates and all need to trust that the media is the channel, not the trim tab. Furthermore, we practice fair competition, that is the rule of the law in the land and especially elections so ABC and NBC are breaking the law. If our congress and elected officials do not stop this assault on our freedom of speech for all candidates then we must replace them and find people who will respect our constitution and the rule of law in this country. davis - Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 9:49 AM PST Please everyone. Even if you are not for Kucinich, we must realize that this moment is an opportune time to take the corporate media to task for fascist programming. ABC has no right to exclude a viable candidate with a following, and people want to hear what he has to say in the Debates. ABC is owned by Disney Corporation and this is evidence that they think they OWN the airways, rather than use the privilege of a publicly owned franchise to serve the public interest. The airways are public, not private in a democracy. They have no right to keep presidential candidate information out of our view, especially information that tells the truth about the way government is NOT working. It is also disrespectful to a United States Congressman to behave this way. To see that a private industry can have that much power must wake everyone up to how corrupt and intentional the elite are about continuing their agenda of dismantling not only America but the world. And WHY? Are they sick? Are they power addicted? What is their point? I have a right to see my selected candidate compete with the other candidates as much as anyone else does. I encourage everyone to boycott not only DISNEY CORP, but every candidate that allowed this to happen to their fellow candidate who do not carry the spirit of freedom of speech, nor have the courage to stand up to Dennis Kucinich's declarations. They prove to be cowardly, and darlings of the media. They prove to not have the spirit of justice. They prove not to be awake to the laws of the land if they can stand by and allow this to happen. I for one, have cast my paper ballot in San Francisco yesterday for Kucinich. I encourage you to do two things. One: Go to the website in the post beneath this one for Dennis, and take THE TEST. The test is a simple test of issues, and how you rate them. You will see how you stand on candidates and who most closely fits you view. They are no tricks. Give yourself an experience of knowing your stand and voting with authenticity. You may not have the same values as I, but this test will wake you up to the issues at hand and let you know how you feel, rather than letting the "shiny objects" on your tube program you in a direction that is out to use you as fodder for their use. Good luck in your choices, America. I hope you have the courage to choose well. davis - Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 9:33 AM PST Dennis Kucinich - Dennis4President.com Welcome to the United States of Disney Dear Fellow Kucinich Supporters, On Saturday night we officially became the United States of Disney. While Republican candidates railed about the threat of Islam-fascists, Americans were oblivious that in fact, the greatest treat to our freedom was transpiring right before them - corporate-controlled media, a key component of fascism, used their power to exclude the one candidate from the debates who dares to stand up to them. To "cover" their coup, they ran a silly fluff piece prior to the debate about people who are running for president with no organization behind them and questioned why they would do such a thing other than to massage their own egos. But the candidate Disney/ABC arbitrarily excluded from the debate is a viable candidate who has hundreds of thousands of supporters and a solid organization in every state. Dennis Kucinich has been campaigning non-stop for over a year with his wife, Elizabeth. He's on the ballot in almost every state. This isn't some vanity campaign that the Corporate-controlled media has deliberately tried to make disappear - this is the one candidate who is running for all the right reasons - because he wants to save our country from the takeover of special interests. While John Edwards, during the debate, eloquently and passionately decried the stranglehold special interests have on our nation, he never once mentioned that Disney/ABC had excluded one of his fellow candidates from the debate. How disingenuous! He also failed to mention the fortune he has invested in a hedge fund that makes him as vested in these special interests as anyone. I watched the entire debate on Saturday night, and have to admit that compared to the Republicans, any of the Democratic candidates sounded like a good bet. But here's the catch - while they debated who was the more likely to bring about change and who had more experience actually initiating change, not one of them has ever proved they have the courage to stand up to the status-quo that will do whatever it takes to prevent change. If they had, ABC would have kept them off that stage too. So while just about everything spoken by the four Democratic candidates sounded good, I couldn't help thinking that this was just another Disney performance. Put any of them in the White House and you'll get the same disappointment we're experiencing with the Democratic Congress we elected in '06. We worked our tails off to get them elected and they conveniently forgot why we did it. Here are some words you didn't hear uttered during the debate - words that Dennis Kucinich would have said if he had been given his place at the table. Words the American people deserve to hear: Impeach - The majority of Americans want to see Bush and Cheney held accountable for the lies and corruption that have driven our country to the brink of moral, financial and military bankruptcy. Dennis Kucinich introduced a bill to impeach Dick Cheney last November. The Democratic leadership moved to table it. It was only because REPUBLICANS voted against tabling it that the bill didn't die immediately on the floor and instead now languishes in the Judicial Committee. Not for Profit Health Care - Don't let them fool you - the insurance companies are the problem because they only make a killing when they deny patients health care. Keep them in the mix and you will never have healthcare for all. End NAFTA and get out of the TWO - Although Edwards briefly alluded to the problems our trade agreements have caused to working-class Americans, no Democratic candidate is ever going to criticize a trade policy that was put through by President Bill Clinton - even if it is the cause of not only job loss, but the surge in illegal immigration from Mexico. No candidate, that is, except the one we can count on to always speak the truth - Dennis Kucinich. The corporate-controlled, censored media has carefully orchestrated the obliteration of Dennis Kucinich. This is the third debate he's been kept from. They are also distorting his politically strategic move in the Iowa caucuses to suggest supporters cast their second vote for Osama, as a indication that Dennis has quit the race and is throwing his support behind Osama. Nothing could be further from the truth! In fact, Bill Richardson did the exact same thing as Kucinich and he still got to be in the debate last night! Is it too late? Has corporate-controlled media become so powerful that they can decide who our candidates are, and delude us into thinking we are actually electing our leaders? There's one way to find out. Let's make this a real democracy where people talk to people. Let's spend the next weeks before our state primary contacting voters and telling them about the one candidate who hasn't just been talking about change; his entire political career has been the embodiment of change. What you do over the next few weeks might mean the difference between waking up this time next year in a Disneyland where the majority of Americans will be grateful for the most menial jobs, while the wealthy few get a free ride, or taking our country back from the military/industrial/insurance/media fascists. Please go to www.California4Kucinich.com now and sign up to be on a DK Team. We are currently organizing to reach out to voters by phone and in person and your local DK Team Leader will contact you to see the best way you can get involved. I am down with anything that will get these criminals out of our system. Or change their politics so that we can have jobs, standardized national education so our peeps can communicate across the country, and healthcare for all. Ron Paul has money, Kucinich has the brains to help the heartland including both the poor and the worker. They are different, but maybe together they can make both international and domestic changes that will restore our standing in the world and in our constitution. We'll have to do the debate thing to curb any accesses, but damn... no more military industrial complex economies. How do our self-appointed defenders of the free market respond? Click the link. http://digbysblog.blogspot.com/2007/10/fetid-compost-where-their-hearts-should.html I've been observing the pathological behavior of the right wing in this country for years now, to the point where I've become cynical, jaded and almost unshockable. This, however, has left me in jaw-dropping amazement. There is a small, vicious minority among us that will stop at nothing, NOTHING, to prevent our society from moving forward in any direction other than sinking us all deeper into a state of permanent war outside our borders and perpetual silence, terror and intimidation inside. Anyone who makes a stand is now fair game for smears and stalking by "concerned citizens", EVEN INJURED CHILDREN. Terrorists? Who needs "terrorists" when our own rabid 28-percenters are on the job? Meanwhile, the press either ignores or is amused by those "spunky" "entertaining" conservative pundits, who do their part to keep our political discourse extra-colorful, and too many Democratic politicians hide behind a false veneer of pseudo-civility rather than confront the fact that we are being ruled by a gang of thugs. Will the Frost family have to become victims of violence before the rest of us take notice? What is to be done? Is my wife correct when she asserts that the Republicans' goal is to stir up a new Civil War in America, because from where I'm standing, the evidence is mounting. Again, WHO ARE WE? Where is our integrity? In 2007, our country and our planet are facing huge problems and issues that must be resolved. We are not as helpless as we've been told. Human ingenuity has accomplished incredible things in a few thousand years. What do we use our skills for now? More and better ways to torture and enslave one another? Or do we harness our genius and our hard work to address the environment, population, food, health, and social inequities, etc? Most of our problems only exist because a few people are making big money off the status quo. This is why they HAVE to keep us hating each other this way, and silencing anyone who suggests an alternative. The haters are manipulated, even their manipulaters are manipulated. We are in the middle of a perfect storm of ignorance that rivals the Dark Ages. And yet, signs of enlightenment are everywhere. Our human nature is never fully suppressed. We have the power to live differently, to invent, to not be at the effect of this stupidity. My late friend Maati Stojanovich often talked about her native Yugoslavia, insisting that despite all the ethnic and religious differences there, all most people wanted to do was fish, drink wine, raise their families and be happy. All the "insurmountable long-standing hatreds" we hold in us come from our TRAINING. Why are we trained this way? So that we keep our eye off the ball while a small elite picks our pockets. It's a nasty racket. Who are we? If American principles have any real meaning, it's time for them to show up. Otherwise, it's time to stop whining about Osama Bin Laden, because the terrorists and the "evildoers" are no one but ourselves. End of rant for now. Biology.... the body is made up of complex organic and inorganic materials engaged in intricate, but reliable, processes that produce one fifth live protoplasm in continuous cell production that provides the materials that make the body and all of its parts. These cells fire more often when young, and more slowly when older. The other four fifths of the body are in entropy... meaning the cells are in the process of dying, and are replaced by the new cells made in this primordial soup we call protoplasm. But this refreshing of the cells in the body occurs only when the body takes in the nutrition necessary to accomplish these amazing results. It takes a few weeks to refresh the cells in the entire body... which actually isn't very long. When we eat real food, we get the inorganic cell salts necessary to couple with the organic materials in the body to produce new cells. When we eat processed foods, the inorganic cell salts are processed out before the food gets to you and the body cannot reproduce quality cells any longer. We can get sick, tired, weak, agitated, angry and show symptoms of psychological imbalance... all caused by our biology dependent on the food we eat. We will probably default to the advice of a doctor whose main job is to sell pharmaceuticals, which probably give back enough cell salts to diminish effects, but not correct the problems. It really pisses me off that the medical industry has thwarted the herbal remedies of old and have colluded with the food industry to assist them in crafting our choices such that we are like pigs to the slaughter, in slow motion.... Unaware, faithful, and trusting as human beings naturally are, until the Adam effect wears off. (Adam was the guy in the bible who fell asleep and never woke up)... But this Adam, or madam, has gotten herself educated and saw enough death and suffering from illness to put two and two together, and I am here to tell you that if you want a healthy body, that allows for a healthy mind, heart and spirit, your first step is to love yourself and your body enough to prepare (or pay someone to prepare) and eat healthy food. That means veggies, grains (pasta is processed food, rice is a grain), fruits, and the meat, fish, and fowl of animals that have fed off of the earth, not processed feed. If you have to bring a sick body to health, the process is not difficult. As you are changing your diet, go to whole foods, or any homeopathic store and buy and start taking each of the twelve vital inorganic cell salts you need to bring back the balance in your protoplasm. Stop eating crap, especially sugar. Take a teaspoon of honey for your craving.... eat popcorn for filler. Bring down your bag of pollution that is crafting a major health attack early on, by eating fresh salads, cottage cheese, or tofu and veggies for a while. Physics: Aside from being a complicated study regarding atoms, and energy, physics is all about light and energy brought about by turning the light around and focusing on the energy that occurs or is missing in your own body, heart, spirit and mind. Physics is self generated. Trash in/trash out. If you bring wholesome ideas that inspire you to action into your consciousness, then you trip the light fantastic. The first law of thermodynamics, upon which the study of physics is based, is that ACTION CREATES ENERGY. The second law is: Where there is no energy, entropy (the process of decay and dying) ensues (happens next). So to pay attention to your own physics is crucial, especially now when some kids don't have gymnastics to teach them the value of energy output and how that enhances the spirit, the mind and freshens the body. The more energy one expends (running, walking, dancing, performing, working, concentrating, intercoursing, debating, engaging in life's many action oriented activities that require the body to move and breath with concentrated efforts) the more alert, the less afraid, the more substantial one feels. If one sits around waiting for life to do something to get one off his/her ass, the more stressed, the more agitated, the more slovenly one becomes about his/her own life. Its like the serpent eating its own tail.. the circularity of an entropy fed by no action and no cause for action. Holding ones life as a potential energy source awaiting one good idea that will inspire it to action, creates a curiosity worth exploring. If one's mind is too full of darkness, or too full of a belief rather than an experience of spiritual living, then one can easily be thrown into catch 22 ideas that are paralyzing and call for pharmaceuticals to calm the inner voices that cannot be sorted out by him/herself. Beware of those legal drugs out to fuck you up and validate your unworthiness because that is the stuff this economy is made of. When I hear in the news of genocide and suicide bombers and kids who kill, I realize how far these profit mongers will go to get some meaningless bucks into their pockets. I think it is important to explore the dark side of life, where our creativity lives, and to bring to light your discoveries that free humanity from blind faith in economies out to harm us. BIOLOGY AND PHYSIC IN MOTION Brighten yourself with a good solid walk or jog, or an hour of yoga, or two hours at the gym. Feed yourself some good solid food. Allow your imagination to soar freely until you light upon something that really turns you on, and will serve another in some way. Because as George Battialle states in Eroticism:Death and Sensuality, " human nature needs to serve, and animal nature needs to be divine in that service'. Where this is missing, all sorts of anquish and ping pong self annihilation will occur. I apologize to the youth of America for not being bright enough, early enough to have seen this coming. Everyone is guilty and no one is to blame. We have to pull together as one to snap out of this trance that keeps aloof any blame. I have a preference and a demand for Justice and Freedom. Justice and Freedom and independence rely on a civilized people who engage with ethics, logic and passion to build trust and then develop an intelligent interdependence, which is what we do in America when we are not broke and broken... If we are kept too busy and/or even too well to care to pay attention, we may learn to adapt rather than raise a ruckus. In conscious action, we can cause change to occur more rapidly, more safely with little to no bloody revolution... I am talking about causing evolution to occur right now, now now now now now... every second of now so time no longer matters but now does. And now is always there and non repeating... but you have to be there, to be there, and that is not easy in a world already organized in bad practices and propped up by those who have no intention to let go of those practices.... Who dares to confront these monsters? We do, as individuals we take care of our Biology and our Physics and let the markets that support crime, war and disease collapse, while replacing them with markets that make a difference in the quality of human life. Our children and our planet require it. J Neo Marvin - Monday, October 9th, 2006 10:54 PM PDT The promise religion offers is one of certainty and supposed stability. More than once I've heard the argument, "if you don't have God to tell you what's right and wrong, then there is no right and wrong, and therefore if you have no belief in God there is nothing to prevent you from indulging in any monstrous, evil act that strikes your fancy." The problem with this point of view is if you believe this, you are basically saying there is no "morality" other than one that is forcibly imposed by some superior being. The implication here is that human beings have no capacity for ethics and no ability to empathize with one another. Now that is a far bleaker attitude toward life than most atheists and agnostics would ever conjure up, isn't it? Are we really nothing more than a pack of penny-ante De Sades only held in check by the threat of lightning bolts from the Lord? I'd like to think we're capable of more than that. (For the record, I consider myself more an agnostic than an atheist, since I consider it the height of arrogance to presume that it's possible to know that which is unknowable.) boy medical - Thursday, September 28th, 2006 3:21 PM PDT Many knowledges I have found here I would come back davis - Wednesday, August 9th, 2006 7:40 PM PDT All religions originate from their own principles of philosophy, the study of how we know what we know. On the cause and effect scale, "belief systems" that are not based on innate and therefore sacred knowledge, occur so that people can do what everyone else does. This is an opinion level of existence which is only three levels up from unconsciousness. See the "Being at The Effect" and "Being at Cause" sections of this website under the Education tab for more information. I wouldn't base economies on this platform of "Belief Systems" and expect them to be stable. The resulting industries based on what people believe lack substance and pose conflict habituated patterns. The ensuing war, crime, and disease industries merely conduct their businesses in ways that appear to assist in the dissarray caused by them. The "humanitarian services" provided by the non profits beg for money to operate so there is a balance and a sense of hope. But while these investments are put in place to repair the damages caused by these industries, the industries do not intend to stop killing, plundering, stealing, or diseasing. Belief system economies are based on the invisibility of the ourisbouris syndrome. The snake is eating its tail and the repetition is endlessly tragic. Let us stop all connections between what people choose to believe, and what is invested in that can cause conflict habituated behavior. People have a right to believe what they want, but let our industries be based on what is known, not what is believed. Then perhaps we can put to rest those oh so convoluted souls willing to die in the name of these images projected by these beliefs. We can let go and evolve beyond war state politics and economics. And it is high time we do. J Neo Marvin - Tuesday, March 14th, 2006 8:47 AM PST There's some interesting stuff in this article, enough to make one take notice and start viewing the talk of an impending epidemic with a great deal of skepticism. I wish she talked a bit more about the evidence for vaccines containing live viruses and bacteria. It's a bold assertion and I'd like to see some real documentation on that. Otherwise, we can speculate about the schemes of our evil overlords all day long, and it doesn't mean a thing. That said, I definitely have little to no faith in this the cover stories this administration concocts to keep the public scared and servile. HOWEVER, Dr. Day really loses me when she insists that the source for all this deceit is a Zionist-Jewish conspiracy. Yes, the Israel lobby is powerful in America, and many "neoconservatives" are Jewish, but many of them are NOT (Dick Cheney? Come on), and to blur the two is simplistic and possibly deceitful in itself. I'm more inclined to see all this as the old story of old-school white colonial economic power working to establish and maintain control of all the resources of the world to keep the cream of it all for their own elite minority and exploit everyone else to keep the system going. I'm not convinced that population control is part of their agenda; I think they are happy to keep breeding a large, expendable serf population whose lives amount to plentiful, disposable cheap labor. That's why they promote misogynistic religions around the world that preach that women should be kept barefoot and pregnant. I don't see the global elite as being Jewish or even particularly religious themselves in any way; Zionism is merely another belief system they exploit, just like Christian or Muslim fundamentalism. Keep people mired in mysticism and belief systems so they can't see the strings pulling them. The neocons are USING Israel, not the other way around. It's just another building block in their grab for Middle Eastern oil fields for the "New American Century". Feudalism? Oh yes, verily. Jewish conspiracy? Oh, please. That "Protocols Of The Elders Of Zion" talk is just part of the problem: long-discredited fascist propaganda that is just another example of how the real powers that be manipulate people's emotions by distracting them with a convenient, stereotypical villain. We are smarter than that, aren't we? In short: extreme skepticism about the medical industry is necessary and proper, but unsupported assertions about agendas that border on anti-Semitic (possibly Lyndon Larouche propaganda) are nothing but more dramatic distractions that divert our attention from the REAL conspiracies happening right in front of our noses, and only stir up more hatred in the world. Best wishes, Ellen Ross davis - Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005 6:13 PM PST snurdle bug... ya know.. I don't believe that we need to control the population growth to maintain a high quality of life. I am a lot older and was educated in the day when humanities ruled out over darwinistic survival of the fittest ideals. I have a degree in communications and learned how much we are programmed into believing things about human life that just aren't true. But you know, those people in charge for the last thirty some years have severely dumbed down the younger population such that if you rely on tv for your news, or entered college after 1975, you have been de-sensitized to your own human nature by literature that attacks humanity rather than supports it. I am convinced by studies led by organizations such as the Hunger Project that show that we can actually feed and shelter everyone, but the political will to do so is absent. Those who make policy and who manage our media and educational materials, have revised our ideological stance from civilizing humanitarian and principled ideals to a context in which mass genocide is not an outrage, but an unfortunate necessity. This is de-humanizing in all respects. This idea not only hurts (and kills) the people not selected for survival, but kills the possibility for any real civilization to ever occur again for those who are left. There are very high consequences, and not just karmically, when greed wills out over humane ideals. I am assuming you hold mainstream ideas, and I am not surprised that mainstream people are holding such a point of view. This is an especially troublesome point of view when we take into consideration that corporate mercenaries and the united states government are annihilating populations in third world countries without any media attention or public outrage. The shocking truth is teachings included in my San Francisco State University "Principles of Ecology" textbook authored by Richard Brewer and published by W. B. Saunders Company; 1979 supports such a point of view. On page 273, the authors sums up four approaches to this so called "world population problem". I quote the first approach, which models what appears to be happening now and is the basis for you to be able to make such a statement and still think of yourself as decent: "This (the reasons in the previous paragraph)leads to one of basically four approaches to the world population problem: 1) It would somehow involve reducing world population by about 75% in order to archieve a high standard of living for everyone." This was and still is absolutely shocking to me as an option or an approach to solving any population problem. But if you educate a population to consider such a devolved pov of human life, and the humanities itself, you could imagine humanity regressing back into a "survival of the fitness" mentality quite reasonably and quite predictably. Thus, this website. We are going to have to recognize that the cost of mass genocide is self annihilation. I hope you will consider the duplicity involved in what you see as conventional wisdom and join the fight for humanity, rather than against it. In all fairness, I think a humane approach would be to empower women world wide to be able to make their own reproductive decisions and to allow the common people to have a decent life so that they don't reproduce many children in hopes that one or two will survive. And thanks for stopping by. all best, davis Snurdle Bug - Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005 4:22 PM PST Accursed population growth ruins the good life ! davis - Tuesday, November 15th, 2005 7:50 AM PST Hi Karl!
